How to Do Play & Observation Series

This step-by-step live training provides practical and transformative strategies to help you embed high-quality play and observation practice into your setting. Each module consists of 75-minute live sessions, with a focus on implementation between sessions to ensure meaningful progress.

  • Setting up the Environment & Managing Play - 25th September 2025
  • World Around Us through Play - 23rd October 2025
  • Maths through Play - 20th November 2025
  • Question & Answer session - 4th December 2025 
  • Creativity through play - 8th January 2026
  • Physical Development and Movement through play - 5th February 2026 
  • Language & Literacy through play - 5th March 2026
  • Evaluating & Making the Learning visible - 26th March 2026

Time: Each session lasts 1 hour 15 mins (15:15 - 16:30 GMT)

Cost: £435 & VAT per school

Audience:  Practitioners working with children age 4-8 years

  • Examining observation, documentation and assessment formats

  • Managing the observation & assessment process in settings

  • Question & Answer session re implementation of process
  • Addressing the correlation between involvement, wellbeing and children's learning
